Access Control Systems
What is an Access Control Intercom System?
An Access Control System is a system that enables the owner/management to eliminate employees with keys and control who’s coming or going into your locations. This system has the capabilities to log who’s coming or going out of a particular area at any given time. Some system’s has a camera to watch and talk to visitors/employees before security/management allows them access (Aiphone Systems) into an area.
How do Access Control Intercom Systems work?
A card reader device will be installed at a designated door with a wired security lock installed onto the door frame. Once the card is swiped at the reader, the reader will send a confirmation request to the Controller. The Controller will check the validity of the card and time. If it’s ok to gain entry, the Controller will automatically unlock, then lock back the security lock onto the frame.
